Hello everyone, how are you? Today stop in San Francisco, but don't miss the other posts about Los Angeles, Las Vegas or in general about my trip in the States, one of the most beautiful trips of my life.

Where I should start??? San Francisco is certainly a beautiful city, even more beautiful with the sun that unfortunately I have rarely seen, in fact even if I went in the middle of summer there was always a very particular climate and wind.

In my opinion one of the most beautiful places is the famous Pier 39, a set of shops, restaurants distributed on one of the piers, it is also very famous for its sea lions super fun to watch and really a few meters away.

Another important stop, whose departure of the ferry is not far from Pier 39, is the visit of the island of Alcatraz with its penitentiary, which can be booked from three months before at around 40 dollars (ferry + visit). A guided tour through the audio guide, available in different languages, a journey through history, very touching and well studied, super recommended, it is really worth it.

Another fundamental stop is the symbol of San Francisco, the famous Golden Gate Bridge, which I recommend by bike, without too much effort (it is quite long). In fact, one thing I recommend you do is rent the bike all day and enjoy the bridge and the nearby park where there is the presidio, the Palace of the arts and more. The bike is also very useful in Golden Gate Park, a huge park with museums, greenhouses, the Japanese garden and many places to discover, but in this case I recommend you to rent the bike there, don't do as me and reached the park from the Golden Gate Bridge and the other way around, because San Francisco is a mix of climbs and descents and the descents are very fun to go but you will hate the climbs and I don't think you want to "die", much better to see the streets on the famous cable car, one of the few things I regret not being able to do.

Other things to see/do are: the famous Lombard Street, known for its hairpin turns to walk at least by foot, climb to the top of the Coit Tower to admire the city from above, take a trip to see the colorful houses in the Alamo Square Park, also, although less interesting, can not miss a tour of the center, in Union Square, watching the Transamerica Pyramid and walking through the Chinatown district.

A city with many different styles depending on the neighborhood, the area you go to. Certainly with a little more sun I would have appreciated it more, very beautiful, perfect to see if you have even two days.

Ciao a tutti, come va? Oggi tappa a San Francisco, ma non perdetevi gli altri post su Los Angeles, Las Vegas o in generale del mio viaggio negli States, uno dei viaggi più belli della mia vita.
Da dove iniziare??? San Francisco è sicuramente una bella città, ancora più bella con il sole che purtroppo ho visto raramente, infatti anche se sono andata in piena estate c'era sempre un clima molto particolare e il vento.
Secondo me uno dei posti più belli è il famoso Pier 39, un insieme di negozi, ristoranti distribuiti su uno dei moli, inoltre è molto famoso per i suoi leoni marini super divertenti da guardare e a davvero pochi metri di distanza.
Un'altra tappa importante, la cui partenza del traghetto non è lontana dal Pier 39, è la visita dell'isola di Alcatraz con il suo penitenziario, prenotabile da tre mesi prima sui 40 dollari (traghetto + visita). Una visita guidata attraverso l'audioguida, disponibile in diverse lingue, un viaggio attraverso la storia, molto toccante e ben studiata, super consigliato, ne vale davvero la pena.
Un'altra tappa fondamentale è il simbolo di San Francisco, il famoso Golden Gate Bridge, che vi consiglio di percorrere in bici, per percorrerlo tutto senza troppa fatica. Infatti una cosa che vi consiglio di fare è affittare la bici tutto il giorno e godervi il ponte e il parco vicino dove c'è il presidio, il Palazzo delle arti e altro ancora. E' molto utile la bici anche nel Golden Gate Park, un'enorme parco con musei, serre, il giardino giapponese e tanti posti da scoprire, ma in questo caso vi consiglio di affittate la bici lì, non fate come ho fatto io che ho raggiunto il parco dal Golden Gate Bridge e viceversa, perchè San Francisco è un mix tra salite e discese e le discese sono molto divertenti da percorrere ma odierete le salite e non penso che volete "morire", molto meglio percorrere le strade sui famosi tram, una delle poche cose che mi dispiace non essere riuscita a fare.
Altre cose da vedere/fare sono: la famosa strada Lombard Street, conosciuta per i suoi tornanti ripidi da percorrere almeno a piedi, salire fino in cima alla Coit Tower per ammirare la città dall'alto, fare un salto a vedere le case colorate nell'Alamo Square Park, inoltre, anche se meno interessante, non può mancare un giro per il centro, nell'Union Square, guardare la Transamerica Pyramid e passeggiare per il quartiere di Chinatown.
Una città con molti stili diversi a seconda del quartiere, zona in cui vai. Di sicuro con un pò di sole in più l'avrei apprezzata meglio, ma rimane molto bella, perfetta da vedere se avete anche solo due giorni.
