Western USA: California, Nevada, Arizona & Utah

Hi everyone, today first post about my trip to the Western United States, more precisely California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. An introductory post on the journey I took, the general day-to-day program, some general advice and then in future posts I will give you much more information on each stage I made and I will show you more photos (many of these already visible on my Instagram profile @nextstop_world).
Let's start with the general info/tips: first you need to get a visa to enter in the United States called ESTA at a cost of 14 dollars and valid for 2 years, be equipped with an electronic passport and if you rent the car to move, which I absolutely recommend because it is the fastest and most convenient vehicle, you may need an international driving license in some countries.
Obviously it all depends on what you want to visit, my program includes three big cities: Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco and a lot of national parks, canyons all arranged in four adjacent states and for this I recommend renting the car or a camper that you should book in advance. At the same time, if you travel by car, I recommend you download the offline maps of the places that interest you, so you can use them during the trip and if you visit some parks as I did, you should buy the annual pass for all the parks, at the cost of 80 dollars valid for 1 year and usable for everyone inside the machine.

Ciao a tutti, oggi primo post sul mio viaggio negli Stati Uniti Occidentale, più precisamente California, Nevada, Arizona e Utah. Un post introduttivo sul viaggio intrapreso, il programma generale giorno per giorno, qualche consiglio generale e poi in futuri post vi darò molte più info su ogni tappa fatta e vi mostrerò molte altre foto (molte di queste già visibili sul mio profilo Instagram @nextstop_world).
Incominciamo con le info generali/consigli: innanzitutto dovete procurarvi il visto per entrare negli Stati Uniti chiamato ESTA al costo di 14 dollari e con validità di 2 anni, essere dotati di passaporto elettronico e se affittate la macchina per spostarvi, cosa che vi consiglio assolutamente perché è il mezzo più veloce e comodo, potreste aver bisogno della patente internazionale in alcuni stati.
Ovviamente tutto dipende da cosa volete visitare, il mio programma comprende tre grandi città: Los Angeles, Las Vegas e San Francisco e un bel pò di parchi nazionali, canyon il tutto disposti in quattro stati adiacenti e per questo consiglio l'affitto dell'auto o di un camper che vi conviene prenotare in anticipo. Allo stesso tempo se viaggiate in auto vi consiglio di scaricarvi le mappe offline dei luoghi che vi interessano in modo da averle sempre a portata di mano durante il viaggio e se visiterete alcuni parchi come ho fatto io vi conviene comprare il pass annuale per tutti i parchi d'America, al costo di 80 dollari con validità di 1 anno ed utilizzabile per tutti all'interno della macchina, quindi più siete e meglio è.

Now let's move on to the itinerary of this journey that lasted 17 days, obviously with a few more days I could have made some more stops along the way or spend more time in some places. Furthermore, by organizing all the places you want to visit, you can evaluate the distances and book hotels before leaving.

Ora passiamo all'itinerario di questo viaggio durato 17 giorni, ovviamente con qualche giorno in più avrei potuto fare qualche tappa in più lungo il tragitto o trascorrere più tempo in alcuni luoghi. DAY 1 - LOS ANGELES:
ENG - Travel to Los Angeles, car withdrawal and first exploration of the city, the famous Walk of Fame
ITA - Viaggio fino a Los Angeles, ritiro auto e prima esplorazione della città, la famosa Walk of Fame
DAY 2 - LOS ANGELES:
ENG/ITA - Warner Bros Studios, Downtown, The Broad, Walt Disney Concert Hall, US Bank, Public Art Urban Light
DAY 3 - LOS ANGELES:
ENG - Bike ride on the beach of Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, Griffith Park, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Sign
ITA - Giro in bici sulla spiaggia di Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills e Rodeo Drive, Griffith Park, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Sign
DAY 4 - LOS ANGELES:
ENG/ITA - Universal Studio Hollywood
DAY 5 - LAS VEGAS:
ENG - Direction Las Vegas (around 4h) and visit of the city

DAY 6 - ZION PARK/BRYCE CANYON:
ENG - Direction Zion Park, about 3h (4 with the time zone), visit of the park and then towards Bryce Canyon to admire the sunset (around 2h)
ITA - Direzione Zion Park, circa 3h (4 con il fuso orario), visita del parco e poi direzione Bryce Canyon per ammirare il tramonto (circa 2h)
DAY 7 - BRYCE CANYON/LAKE POWELL/HORSESHOE BEND:
ENG - Visit of Bryce Canyon, then travel to Page to visit Antelope Canyon the next day (around 3h), in the meanwhile stop at Lake Powell with its dam and sunset view from the Horseshoe Bend (pay attention to the time zone)
ITA - Visita del Bryce Canyon, poi direzione Page per visitare il giorno dopo l'Antelope Canyon (circa 3h), nel mentre tappa al Lake Powell con la sua diga e vista al tramonto del Horseshoe Bend (fate attenzione al fuso orario)
DAY 8 - ANTELOPE CANYON/MONUMENT VALLEY:
ENG - Visit of the Antelope Canyon, direction and visit of Monument Valley (around 2 and a half hours), accommodation for the night

DAY 9 - VALLEY OF GODS/GOOSENECKS STATE PARK/GRAND CANYON:
ENG - Having found a place to sleep in Bluff, on our journey to the Grand Canyon (around 4.5 hours) we made a stop at the Valley of Gods and Gooseneck State Park and then in the afternoon visit the Desert View Watchtower of the Grand Canyon and other Canyon views on the way
ITA - Avendo trovato posto da dormire a Bluff, nel nostro viaggio verso il Grand Canyon (circa 4h e mezza) abbiamo fatto tappa alla Valley of Gods e Gooseneck State Park per poi arrivare e visitare nel pomeriggio il Desert View Watchtower del Grand Canyon e altre tappe vista Canyon sulla strada
DAY 10 - GRAND CANYON:
ENG - Visit the Grand Canyon from other points of view (South entrance) and then along a piece of the famous Route 66, 3h drive to get to a hotel halfway, to take advantage to the next stop
ITA - Visita del Grand Canyon da altri punti di vista (ingresso Sud) e poi percorrendo un pezzo della famosa Route 66 3h di macchina per arrivare ad un hotel a metà strada, per avvantaggiarsi sulla prossima tappa
DAY 11 - DEATH VALLEY:
ENG - Direction and visit of Death Valley (around 4h), with a stop along the way at the dam Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial
ITA - Direzione e visita della Death Valley (circa 4h), con tappa lungo la strada al diga Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial
DAY 12 - GHOST TOWN/MONO LAKE:
ENG - Direction Grizzly Giant (around 7 hours), with a stop in Rhyolite, a ghost town and at Mono Lake
ITA - Direzione Grizzly Giant (circa 7h di viaggio), con tappa a Rhyolite, una città fantasma e al Lago Mono
DAY 13 - GRIZZLY GIANT/YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK:
ENG - Visit of the Grizzly Giant, the giant sequoias (still 1h and a half from the hotel), then direction and quick visit of Yosemite National Park, in theory only 1h away from there, but because of a road closed 2 hours and half of travel and so less time to visit the park. Then San Francisco around 4 h
ITA - Visita del Grizzly Giant, le sequoia giganti (ancora 1h e mezza di distanza dall'hotel), poi direzione e visita veloce dello Yosemite National Park, in teoria solo 1h di distanza da lì, ma per colpa di una strada chiusa ben 2 h e mezza di viaggio e quindi meno tempo per visitare il parco. Successivamente direzione San Francisco circa 4 h
DAY 14 - SAN FRANCISCO:
ENG - Walking tour of the city: Lombard Street, Chinatown, Coit Tower, Pier 39 and visit of Alcatraz
ITA - Giro a piedi per la città: Lombard Street, Chinatown, Coit Tower, Pier 39 e visita di Alcatraz
DAY 15 - SAN FRANCISCO:
ENG - Tour of the city by bike recommended and not recommended at the same time then I will tell you more about this adventure: Golden Gate Park, Palace of Fine Arts Theater, Golden Gate Bridge
ITA - Giro della città in bici consigliato e sconsigliato allo stesso tempo poi vi racconterò di questa avventura: Golden Gate Park, Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, Golden Gate Bridge
DAY 16 - SAN FRANCISCO/LOS ANGELES:
ENG - Return trip to Los Angeles, around 6h, with a stop at Alamo Square Park in San Francisco and the Getty Center Museum in Los Angeles.
Alternatively: travel along the coast via Santa Barbara, Malibu, but take a little longer, or return by plane directly from San Francisco (perhaps the best choice)
ITA - Viaggio di ritorno a Los Angeles, circa 6h, con tappa all'Alamo Square Park in San Francisco e il Getty Center Museum a Los Angeles.
In alternativa: viaggio lungo la costa passando da Santa Barbara, Malibù, ma ci si mette un pò di più, oppure ritorno con l'aereo direttamente da San Francisco (forse la scelta migliore)
