Hello everyone, how are you? Today second post dedicated to national parks, today Arizona National Parks, for general info and the parks of the state of Utah go to see the first post at this link.
First stop Horseshoe Bend, an enchanted place to see absolutely at sunset for my personal advice, but pay attention to the time and the time zone, I almost miss it, since compared to the previous ones (in Utah) there is an hour in less, I also expected to get there almost by car and instead you have to do a nice piece by foot and when you think you are finally there, to find it beyond the hill, no, you have to do the final rush.
This is very close to Lake Powell, a huge and super scenic lake, I wouldn't have minded a nice boat ride. And then it's practically next to the famous beautiful Antelope Canyon, especially at certain times, but unfortunately you need to pay a feeto the Navajo. The cost varies depending on the time slot and the tour chosen, whether the normal one or the photographic one. The prices are frightening, they are very expensive around $ 75 per person for a ride with the jeep and inside it by a guide, in fact you cannot freely turn inside, only and exclusively with the guide. A little expensive, but if you want to see it you can't avoid paying the ticket, obviously the costs for the photo tour are even worse, look and book first on the site for not to get screwed. Inside you can not bring practically anything so camera in hand and ready for the visit.

Prima tappa Horseshoe Bend, un luogo incantato da vedere assolutamente al tramonto per mio consiglio personale, ma attenzione all'ora e al fuso orario, tra un po' me lo stavo perdendo visto che rispetto ai precedenti (nello Utah) c'è un ora in meno, inoltre mi aspettavo di arrivarci quasi in macchina e invece tocca fare un bel pezzetto a piedi e quando pensi di esserci finalmente, di trovartelo al di là della collinetta, no, ti tocca fare il rush finale.
Quest'ultimo è vicinissimo al Lake Powell un lago enorme e super scenografico, non mi sarebbe dispiaciuto fare un bel giro in barca. E poi è praticamente accanto al famoso Antelope Canyon bellissimo, specialmente a certi orari, ma purtroppo a pagamento essendo dei navajo. Il costo varia a seconda della fascia oraria e del tour scelto, se quello normale o quello fotografico. I prezzi fanno spavento, sono carissimi sui 75 $ a testa per farsi portare con la jeep e all'interno da una guida, infatti non potete girare liberamente all'interno, solo ed esclusivamente con la guida. Un po' cari, ma se ci tieni a vederlo non puoi sottrarti al pagamento del biglietto, ovviamente i costi per il tour fotografico sono anche peggio, guardate e prenotate prima sul sito per non rimanere fregati. All'interno non potete portarvi praticamente niente quindi macchina fotografica in mano e pronti per la visita.

Another super expensive and private "park" is Monument Valley, in reality to enter the area you pay only a certain amount per vehicle and the people inside it, then it all depends on you, if you have a car that can go off-road you can also do the tour on your own (obviously only in one area) otherwise you'd better negotiate a price with the local Navajo for a jeep ride. The price varies depending on what tour you want to do and the duration and in some cases exclusive areas are included that are accessible only by them. We opted for this option by having a rental car (we didn't want to risk damage). The places are beautiful and the guide was also nice and very helpful, certainly they are not cheap too, even here 75 $ each for a 2h and 1/2 tour, but you can't miss it, it's the classic typical place you see in the movie, don't you think?
Also not too far from there you will find Valley of the Gods, a kind of Monument Valley in miniature and Gooseneck State Parks very similar to Horseshoe Bend, both less known but very nice, however located again in the state of Utah.

Altro "parco" super caro e privato è il Monument Valley, in realtà per entrare dentro l'area paghi solo un tot per veicolo e le persone al suo interno, poi tutto dipende da te, se hai una macchina che può andare fuoristrada puoi anche farti il giro per conto tuo (ovviamente solo in un area) altrimenti ti conviene contrattare un prezzo con i navajo del posto per un giro in jeep. Il prezzo varia a seconda di che giro vuoi fare e dalla durata e in alcuni casi sono incluse aree esclusive accessibili solo da loro. Noi abbiamo optato per questa opzione avendo una macchina a noleggio (non volevamo rischiare di far danni). I posti sono bellissimi e era simpatica e disponibilissima pure la guida, sicuramente anche loro non sono economici, anche qui 75$ a testa per un tour da 2h e 1/2, ma non potete farvelo scappare, è il classico luogo tipico che vedi nei film, non trovate?
Inoltre non troppo lontano a lì trovate anche Valley of the Gods, una specie di Monument Valley in miniatura e Gooseneck State Parks molto simile a Horseshoe Bend, entrambi meno conosciuti ma molto carini, situati però di nuovo nello stato dello Utah.

Last stop in Arizona: the famous Grand Canyon, which will be so famous, so big, but in the end I was expecting a little more. Various points of access north, south, many routes and free shuttles to get to certain points, such as the Desert View Watchtower, some more panoramic points, very beautiful, others simpler. Sure it would have been great to be able to take the helicopter ride on top of it, but what a price, instead the park is fortunately included in the pass.
And don't miss the opportunity to travel at least a part of the famous "Route 66".

Ultima tappa in Arizona: il famoso Grand Canyon, che sarà tanto famoso, tanto grande, ma alla fine mi aspettavo qualcosina in più. Vari punti di acceso nord, sud, tantissimi percorsi e navette gratuite per arrivare in determinati punti, come il Desert View Watchtower, alcuni punti più panoramici, molto belli, altri più semplici. Sicuramente sarebbe stato fantastico poter fare il giro in elicottero al di sopra di tutto, ma che prezzi, invece il parco fortunatamente è incluso nel pass.
E non perdete l'occasione di percorrere almeno un pezzo della famosa strada "Route 66".
