Krakow

Hello step today in Krakow, Poland, a very pretty town, whose the main attractions are in the center of the city in a limited area. Cathedrals, towers on which to come up and castles are the main step to not to be missed and if you go there you can not miss the salt mines and the concentration camps of Auschwitz not very far from there (if you are interested in these two places I will speak about that in a future post).

Ciao oggi tappa a Cracovia, Polonia, una città molto carina, le cui principali attrazioni sono nel pieno centro della città in una zona circoscritta. Cattedrali, torri su cui salire a piedi e castelli sono le principali tappe da non lasciarsi scappare e se andate lì non potrete farvi scappare le miniere di sale e i campi di concentramento di Auschwitz non molto lontani da lì (se vi interessano questi ultimi due posti ve ne parlerò in un post più in là nel tempo).
Focal point of all: the main market square (Rynek Glowny), one of the largest squares in Europe on where it is located: the Basilica of St. Mary where you can go up one of the two towers and maybe admire the trumpet who plays every hour in the 4 directions, the church of St. Adalbert, the tower of City Hall this also accessible by foot, the textile market in the center of the square and below the access to the basement, to the remains of the old city.

Punto focale tra tutti: la piazza del mercato principale (Rynek Glowny) una delle più grandi piazze d'Europa su cui si colloca: la Basilica di Santa Maria dove potrete salire su una delle due torri e magari ammirare il trombettista che suona ogni ora allo scoccare dell'orologio nelle 4 direzioni, la chiesa di Sant'Adalberto, la torre del Municipio anche questa accessibile a piedi, il mercato dei tessuti nel centro della piazza e sottostante ad esso l'accesso ai sotterranei, ai resti della vecchia città.
Just off the square you will see the city walls with the Barbican on the one hand, while opposite to it the Wawel Castle, very nice outside, but a little less internally. The castle consists of royal residences, armory, exhibitions and famous paintings as the Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci, even here there is a tower viable and a fire-breathing dragon that I expected more spectacular, however, except for the flame fire, the sculpture does not seem spectacular. In addition to the castle it is also located the cathedral.

Appena fuori dalla piazza potrete vedere le mura della città con il Barbacane da un lato, mentre opposto ad esso il castello di Wawel, molto bello esternamente, ma un pò meno internamente. Il castello è costituito da residenze reali, armerie, mostre e quadri famosi come la Dama con l'ermellino di Leonardo da Vinci, anche qui c'è una torre percorribile e un drago sputa fuoco che mi aspettavo più spettacolare, invece tranne per la fiamma di fuoco la scultura non mi sembra un granchè. Inoltre al castello è collocata anche la cattedrale.

If you rent bikes there is a beautiful bike path near the castle that takes you slightly out of town, really a nice ride along the river or just take a ride in the park surrounding the tourist center =)
If you still have time to visit, I recommend you get out of the small tourist center and go in the Jewish Quarter where you can visit synagogues, monuments, but also the Schindler factory, which is now an interesting and multimedia museum that I will show in more detail in another post.

Se affittate le bici c'è una bellissima pista ciclabile vicino al castello che vi porta leggermente fuori città, davvero un bel giretto lungo il fiume o semplicemente farvi un giro nel parco che circonda il centro turistico =)
Se avete ancora tempo per visitare vi consiglio di uscire dal piccolo centro turistico e andare nel quartiere ebraico dove potrete ammirare sinagoghe, monumenti, ma soprattutto la fabbrica di Schindler, che oramai è un museo interessante e multimediale che vi mostrerò più nel dettaglio in un altro post.
And then of course there are buildings less important but very beautiful outside as the theater or simple, as the oldest university.

E poi ovviamente ci sono edifici meno importanti ma molto belli esternamente come il teatro o semplici, come l'antica università.
Finally, for those who love shopping near the station there is a huge shopping center with three floors, amazing.

Infine per gli amanti dello shopping vicino alla stazione c'è un enorme centro commerciale su tre piani, fantastico, immenso.
