And here we are at the symbol of Turin, the famous Mole Antonelliana near Via Po, home of the cinema museum, a stop that cannot be missed on your tour. Just make sure it is a nice day if you decide to go up to the top with the panoramic lift, in fact while the museum is included in the museum pass, the climb to the top is unfortunately excluded.

Assicuratevi solo che sia una bella giornata se decidete di salire fino alla punta con l'ascensore panoramico, infatti mentre il museo è incluso nell'abbonamento musei, la salita alla punta purtroppo è esclusa.

Another stop to do is the Parco del Valentino, you could rent the bike and take a nice tour around the park, the ideal is in autumn to see the magnificent colours of the autumn leaves. Inside the park you will find the Valentino Castle, one of the Polytechnic headquarters, the Medieval Village, the 12-month fountain, benches with very nice street lamp and many more. Furthermore, not too far from the park you can admire from outside the Condominio 25 Verde, a habitable forest, beautiful from the outside and one day I would like to be able to visit it also inside (every year in Turin there is an event called Open House where they give you the opportunity to visit this and many other structures).

Altra tappa da fare è il Parco del Valentino, potreste affittare la bici e farvi un bel giro per tutto il parco, l'ideale è in autunno per vedere i magnifici colori delle foglie autunnali. All'interno del parco troverete il Castello del Valentino, una delle sedi del Politecnico, il Borgo Medievale, la fontana dei 12 mesi, panchine con lampioni storti molto carine e molto altro ancora. Inoltre non troppo lontana dal parco potrete ammirare da fuori il Condominio 25 Verde, un bosco abitabile, bellissimo da fuori e un giorno vorrei riuscire a visitarlo anche dentro (ogni anno a Torino c'è un evento chiamato Open House dove danno l'opportunità di visitare questa e tante altre strutture).

An addition to the things to see since 2015 is the Grattacielo Sanpaolo, a building next to Porta Susa used as Sanpaolo offices, but it can be visited every now and then for free with a guided tour only with a reservation on the official website. There are few places, it happens a few times a year and they end immediately, so if you may be interested, a less cultural, but more festive alternative is Piano 35. Piano 35 is a restaurant and lounge bar on the top floors of the skyscraper where the botanical garden is located. Both to book previously if you want to secure a place, both expensive, especially the restaurant, in fact I recommend the lounge bar for a special evening (I celebrated my birthday there). The drinks are expensive and they give you almost nothing like appetizers, but once in a lifetime it worth it, in the end  you pay the location. Let me know what you think if you go there.

Un'aggiunta alle cose da vedere dal 2015, è il Grattacielo Sanpaolo, un edificio accanto a Porta Susa adibito ad uffici della Sanpaolo, ma visitabile ogni tanto gratuitamente con visita guidata solo con prenotazione sul sito ufficiale. I posti sono pochi, accade poche volte l'anno e finiscono subito, perciò se vi può interessare, un'alternativa meno culturale, ma più festaiola è il Piano 35. Il Piano 35 è un ristorante e un lounge bar negli ultimi piani del grattacielo dove è collocato il giardino botanico. Entrambi da prenotare precedentemente se volete assicurarvi un posto, entrambi cari, specialmente il ristorante, infatti vi consiglio il lounge bar per una serata un pò speciale (io ho festeggiato lì il mio compleanno). I drink sono cari e ti danno poco e niente come stuzzichini, ma una volta nella vita ci può stare, alla fine vai a pagare la location. Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate se ci andate.

Instead, going up a little on the Turin hill, you can admire the city from above from the Monte dei Cappucini, a crazy view of the city at all hours. And not far from there a little further up you will find the Villa della Regina, another very beautiful Savoy residence, with a further crazy view of the city.

Invece salendo un pochino sulla collina di Torino, potete ammirare la città dall'alto dal Monte dei Cappucini, una vista pazzesca sulla città a tutte le ore. E non lontano da lì un pochino più su trovate la Villa della Regina, un'altra residenza sabauda molto bella, con un ulteriore vista pazzesca sulla città.

Salendo ancora più su, tramite la cremagliera (se non disponete di una macchina), potete ammirare la bellissima Basilica di Superga, anche solo da fuori ne vale la pena e da qui godrete di una vista sulla città ancora da più in alto ( se è una bella giornata senza nebbia). Altrimenti salite fino su in cima alla cupola ed esplorate il suo interno.

Not far from the center, but always easily accessible by subway, you will find the Lingotto or 8Gallery a multifunctional complex with shopping center, cinema, hotel, the Pinacoteca Agnelli where temporary exhibitions are set up and an exhibition venue for major events such as the famous Book Fair, the Orient Fair and much more.

This is not a fundamental stage to do, but I still recommend it for its majestic arch and, if open, for the track at the top of the structure where the cars were testing, being a former Fiat factory.

Non lontano dal centro, ma sempre raggiungibile comodamente con la metropolitana, trovate il Lingotto o 8Gallery un complesso multifunzionale con centro commerciale, cinema, hotel, la Pinacoteca Agnelli dove vengono allestite mostre temporanee e luogo espositivo di grandi eventi come il famoso Salone del Libro, la Fiera dell'Oriente e molto altro.

Questa non è una tappa fondamentale da fare, ma comunque la consiglio per il suo maestoso arco e, se è aperta, per la pista in cima alla struttura dove provavano le auto, essendo un ex stabilimento fiat.

Finally, outside the city, you can find beautiful Savoy residences scattered throughout Piedmont, some such as the Reggia di Venaria Reale, the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi or the Castello di Rivoli easily reachable from Turin through the relevant public connections or shuttles made available (all information on the main sites of the residences), others such as the Castello di Agliè, of Racconigi or the Sacra di San Michele, a more uncomfortable but super recommended place if you have a car and stay on holiday in Piedmont for a little more than some days.

The list is really long, Piedmont is full of castles, structures, museums to visit, and one of the things I love is that all these residences are also included in the Museum Subscription. Consider carefully what you would like to visit in order to decide which option will save you money the most.

Infine al di fuori della città, potete trovare bellissime residenze sabaude sparse per il Piemonte, alcune come la Reggia di Venaria Reale, la Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi o il Castello di Rivoli facilmente raggiungibili da Torino tramite i relativi mezzi pubblici o navette messe a disposizione (tutte le relative info sui principali siti delle residenze), altre come il Castello di Agliè, di Racconigi o la Sacra di San Michele, un pò più scomodi ma super consigliati se avete a disposizione una macchina e rimanete in vacanza in Piemonte per un pò più di giorni. 

L'elenco è davvero lungo, il Piemonte è ricco di castelli, strutture, musei da visitare, e una delle cose che adoro è che anche tutte queste residenze sono incluse all'interno dell'Abbonamento Musei. Valutate bene cosa vorreste visitare così da decidere qual'è opzione che vi farà risparmiare di più.
