Hello everyone, how are you? I had decided months ago to publish this post today: day trip to Lake Maggiore, but after the accident that took place on the Stresa-Mottarone cable car a few weeks ago, my heart cries, I feel guilty to publish it, if someone he feels offended, I apologize with all of myself. I had to change it obviously, this story makes such an effect on me because the cable car that I wanted so much to take when I went there almost two years ago is gone, a day of happiness, carefree has turned into a nightmare for the people who have unfortunate enough to be up there at the time, but at the same time I want to encourage people to continue living, to see that beautiful place especially if you live "nearby", I came from Turin, it's tiring but doable. If you can afford it, you should spend at least the weekend, because what I saw is only a small part of the things you can visit / admire at the lake, let's start.

Let's start with the most famous part to visit: the Borromean Islands, an archipelago made up of Isola Bella (the most important), Isola dei Pescatori, Isola Madre, Isolino di San Giovanni and Scoglio della Malghera. The islands can be reached by boat, so the first thing to define is which island you want to visit and consequently what is the best tour to choose on the spot at the departure pier, I opted for Isola dei Pescatori + Isola Bella for reasons of time. On the Isola dei Pescatori there isn'tto much to see, a simple walk through the streets, a relaxing walk, if you don't have time you can also avoid it, while the most important part is on Isola Bella where I recommend you to enter in the Palazzo Borromeo with its majestic garden, beautiful, I hope the photos give you a little idea of ​​its beauty. Another piece of advice I give you is to take the cumulative ticket with another attraction to save money, I have combined the entrance to the Palace with the entrance to the Pallavicino Park, a park on the mainland that is really beautiful, huge, full of animals, perfect for children. Extra bonus to add a touch of adrenaline is to get on the alpine coaster, a kind of mini roller coaster in Alpyland, on Mottarone, both to have fun at the small price of € 6 per ride and to admire the lake from above, not bad as view, don't you think?  Just be aware that sometimes at the top of Mottarone the mobile phone can take as if you were in Switzerland and take away your money (personal experience).
