Vie Ferrate - Val di Susa

Hello everyone, how are you? Today I show you the via ferratas you can do in Val di Susa, Piedmont, the ones I know best, then later I will also show you those in the rest of Piedmont, but I have yet to discover / try them a little better.

In Val Susa there are 12 via ferratas, of which only 10 are currently accessible, who knows if the other two will ever fix them? Below you will find the complete list, those checked ✔ are the ones I have already tried, if you want some more info just ask. To take a via ferrata you need the right equipment: harness, lanyard and helmet, if you do not have this equipment you can rent it at some sports shops in the valley. Each via ferrata has its own duration and difficulty, it all depends on your experience and physical ability. In this post I do not give you all the info, I only give you my personal opinion and I show you some photos of the ones I have already tried, but I leave you two very useful sites to which I refer every time to find all the information you will have need: the starting point, the route, the difficulties etc ...

Via ferrata list:

- Ferrata Giorda - Sacra di San Michele ✔: one of my favorites, a little long but super recommended and is a beautiful alternative to reach the Sacra di San Michele. You know what a satisfaction it is to get to the top and admire the Sacra and the Valle from the top and it has a Tibetan bridge along the way, fantastic, ideal as a day trip.

- Ferrata Orrido di Foresto ✔: another super recommended, but quite tiring in two points, those near the waterfall, which will refresh you with its jet of water, in fact it is recommended to do it in summer on a beautiful sunny day to be refreshed along the way. Admiring the waterfall is a spectacular emotion, this is also ideal as a day trip.

- Ferrata Rocca Clari - Claviere ✔: the last one I recommend among those made, more than anything else I find it very long more than difficult, perhaps only some sections are a little more tiring than others, but if you reach the top, you will see the flag waving to confirm that you have reached the top, the goal. Ideal as a day trip.

- Ferrata del Bunker ✔: It is located near the Ferrata Rocca Clari and the longest Tibetan Bridge in the world, it is super fast, it will lead you to discover the bunker, very nice, you can do it together with the other via ferrata or before finishing the Tibetan bridge.

- Ferrata della Ruceia ✔: Super fast and easy, ideal for the first times, the view from above on the Valley and towards the Sacra is not bad.

- Ferrata Orrido di Chianocco ✔: Even this via ferrata is super fast and easy, it allows you to explore the ravine of Chianocco, but you should combine it with the Sentiero del Leccio to optimize the whole day.

- Ferrata del Rouas ✔: Simple via ferrata with two variants, one a little more difficult and one a little easier, it's up to you to decide which one to walk along the route, which one do you choose?

Ciao a tutti, come va? Oggi vi mostro le ferrate che potete fare in Val di Susa, Piemonte, quelle che conosco meglio, poi più avanti vi mostrerò anche quelle nel resto del Piemonte, ma devo ancora scoprirle/provarle un pochino meglio.

In Val Susa in tutto ci sono 12 ferrate, di cui solo 10 attualmente fruibili, chissà se le sistemeranno mai le altre due?!? Qui sotto trovate l'elenco completo, quelle spuntate ✔ sono quelle che ho già provato, se volete qualche info in più chiedete pure. Per percorrere una ferrata avete bisogno della giusta attrezzatura: imbrago, longe e casco, se non disponete di questa attrezzatura potete affittarla presso alcuni negozi sportivi nella valle. Ogni ferrata ha una sua durata e difficoltà, dipende tutto dalla vostra esperienza e capacità fisica. In questo post non vi indico tutte le info, vi do solo una mia opinione personale e vi mostro qualche foto di quelle che ho già provato, ma vi lascio due siti molto utili a cui faccio riferimento ogni volta per trovare tutte le informazioni di cui avrete bisogno sul luogo di partenza, il percorso, le difficoltà ecc...

- Ferrata Giorda - Sacra di San Michele ✔: una delle mie preferite, un pò lunga ma super consigliata ed è una bellissima alternativa per raggiungere la Sacra di San Michele. Sai che soddisfazione arrivare in cima ed ammirare la Sacra e la Valle dall'alto e ha pure un ponte tibetano lungo il percorso, fantastica, ideale come gita del giorno.

- Ferrata Orrido di Foresto ✔: un'altra super consigliata, ma abbastanza faticosa in due punti, quelli vicino alla cascata, che vi rifrescherà con il suo getto d'acqua, infatti si consiglia di farla in estate in una bella giornata di sole così da essere rinfrescati lungo il percorso. Ammirare la cascata è un'emozione spettacolare, anche questa è ideale come gita del giorno.

- Ferrata Rocca Clari - Claviere ✔: l'ultima che vi consiglio tra quelle fatte, più che altro la trovo molto lunga più che difficile, forse solo alcuni tratti sono un pochino più faticosi di altri, ma se raggiungerete la cima, vedrete la bandiera che sventola per confermarvi che avete raggiunto la vetta, l'obiettivo. Ideale come gita del giorno.

- Ferrata del Bunker ✔: E' collocata vicino alla Ferrata Rocca Clari e al Ponte Tibetano più lungo del mondo, è super veloce, vi condurrà alla scoperta del bunker, molto carina, potete farla insieme all'altra ferrata o prima di finire il ponte tibetano.

- Ferrata Batteria Bassa

- Ferrata Chaberton

- Ferrata della Ruceia ✔: Super veloce e facile, ideale per le prime volte, non male la vista dall'alto sulla Valle e verso la Sacra.

- Ferrata Orrido di Chianocco ✔: Anche questa ferrata e super veloce e facile, vi permette di esplorare l'orrido di Chianocco, ma vi conviene abbinarla al Sentiero del Leccio per ottimizzare tutta la giornata.

- Ferrata del Rouas ✔: Semplice ferrata con due varianti, una un pò più difficile e una un pò più semplice, sta a voi decidere quale percorrere lungo il percorso, quale scegliete?

- Ferrata Rocca Bianca: attualmente chiusa

- Ferrata delle Gorge: attualmente chiusa

- Sentiero Attrezzato degli alpini a Punta Charrà

Spero di aggiornare il post spuntando pian piano il resto delle ferrate, specialmente quella dello Chaberton che dev'essere molto difficile oltre ad essere lunga, ci riuscirò? Spero che questo post possa esservi utile, se avete domande chiedete pure, alla prossima.

In Alpyland, Borromean Islands

Hello everyone, how are you? I had decided months ago to publish this post today: day trip to Lake Maggiore, but after the accident that took place on the Stresa-Mottarone cable car a few weeks ago, my heart cries, I feel guilty to publish it, if someone he feels offended, I apologize with all of myself. I had to change it obviously, this story makes such an effect on me because the cable car that I wanted so much to take when I went there almost two years ago is gone, a day of happiness, carefree has turned into a nightmare for the people who have unfortunate enough to be up there at the time, but at the same time I want to encourage people to continue living, to see that beautiful place especially if you live "nearby", I came from Turin, it's tiring but doable. If you can afford it, you should spend at least the weekend, because what I saw is only a small part of the things you can visit / admire at the lake, let's start.

Let's start with the most famous part to visit: the Borromean Islands, an archipelago made up of Isola Bella (the most important), Isola dei Pescatori, Isola Madre, Isolino di San Giovanni and Scoglio della Malghera. The islands can be reached by boat, so the first thing to define is which island you want to visit and consequently what is the best tour to choose on the spot at the departure pier, I opted for Isola dei Pescatori + Isola Bella for reasons of time. On the Isola dei Pescatori there isn'tto much to see, a simple walk through the streets, a relaxing walk, if you don't have time you can also avoid it, while the most important part is on Isola Bella where I recommend you to enter in the Palazzo Borromeo with its majestic garden, beautiful, I hope the photos give you a little idea of its beauty. Another piece of advice I give you is to take the cumulative ticket with another attraction to save money, I have combined the entrance to the Palace with the entrance to the Pallavicino Park, a park on the mainland that is really beautiful, huge, full of animals, perfect for children. All prices and information can be found on the official website. In addition to these there are many other things to explore, on the site you will find all the other buildings or places that you can admire.

Extra bonus to add a touch of adrenaline is to get on the alpine coaster, a kind of mini roller coaster in Alpyland, on Mottarone, both to have fun at the small price of € 6 per ride and to admire the lake from above, not bad as view, don't you think? Just be aware that sometimes at the top of Mottarone the mobile phone can take as if you were in Switzerland and take away your money (personal experience).

Obviously with what happened you have to reach it by car, maybe one day the cable car will start working again, but unfortunately the fear will remain.

Ciao a tutti, come va? Avevo deciso mesi fa di pubblicare oggi questo post: gita del giorno al Lago Maggiore, ma dopo l'incidente che c'è stato sulla funivia Stresa-Mottarone qualche settimana fa, mi piange il cuore, mi sento in colpa a pubblicarlo, se qualcuno si sente offeso, chiedo scusa con tutta me stessa. Ho dovuto modificarlo ovviamente, mi fa così effetto questa vicenda perchè la funivia che avrei tanto voluto prendere quando sono andata lì quasi due anni fa non c'è più, una giornata di felicità, spensieratezza si è trasformata in un incubo per le persone che hanno avuto a sfortuna di essere lì sopra in quel momento, ma allo stesso tempo voglio incoraggiare la gente a continuare a vivere, a vedere quel bellissimo posto specialmente se vivete nei "paraggi", io arrivavo da Torino, è faticoso ma fattibile. Se potete permettervelo vi conviene trascorrere almeno il weekend, perchè quello che ho visto io è solo una piccola parte delle cose che potete visitare/ammirare presso il lago, iniziamo.

Partiamo con la parte più famosa da visitare: le Isole Borromee, un arcipelago composto dall'Isola Bella (quella più importante), Isola dei Pescatori, Isola Madre, Isolino di San Giovanni e Scoglio della Malghera. Le isole sono raggiungibili tramite barca, quindi la prima cosa da definire è quale Isola volete visitare e di conseguenza qual'è il giro migliore da scegliere sul posto presso il molo di partenza, io ho optato per Isola dei Pescatori + Isola Bella per questioni di tempo. Sull'isola dei Pescatori non c'è chissà che cosa da vedere, un semplice giro tra le vie, una rilassante passeggiata, se non avete tempo potete anche evitarla, mentre la parte più importante è sull'Isola Bella dove vi consiglio di entrare all'interno del Palazzo Borromeo con il suo maestoso giardino, bellissimo, spero che le foto vi diano un pò un'idea della sua bellezza. Un altro consiglio che vi do è di prendere il biglietto cumulativo con un'altra attrazione per risparmiare, io ho abbinato l'ingresso del Palazzo con l'ingresso al Parco Pallavicino, un parco sulla terra ferma davvero bello, enorme, pieno di animali, perfetto per i bambini. Tutti i prezzi e le informazioni le potete trovare sul sito ufficiale. Oltre a questi ci sono tante altre cose da esplorare, sul sito trovate tutti gli altri edifici o posti che potete ammirare.

Bonus extra per aggiungere un tocco di adrenalina è salire sull'alpine coaster, una specie di mini montagna russa ad Alpyland, sul Mottarone, sia per divertirsi al piccolo prezzo di 6 € a giro, sia per ammirare il lago dall'alto, non male come vista, non trovate? Fate solo attenzione che a volte in cima al Mottarone il cellulare prende come se foste in Svizzera e vi toglie i soldi (esperienza personale). Ovviamente con quello che è successo dovete per forza raggiungerlo con la macchina, forse un giorno la funivia ricomincerà a funzionare, ma la paura purtroppo rimarrà.
