Aosta

Hello everyone, today I stop in Aosta, the principal city of the Aosta Valley, a very pretty, monumental and historic city with its Roman remains: from the Arch of Augustus to the Roman theater. The perfect place for a day trip or even less. A walk through the streets, the churches and historic sites and if you go in this Christmas season even the Christmas spirit, enjoy the Christmas markets in the Roman theater and also access for free (usually €7, a ticket valid not only for the theater, more information on the site) and maybe see everything covered with snow as it happened to me, everything even more beautiful, don't you think? The main places to see are not many: the Arch of Augustus, the Roman theater, the praetorian gate, the collegiate church of Sant'Orso, the main square and if you want even some museums, all the things you can see quickly and also everthing is close.
Furthermore, if you spend a few days in the Aosta Valley there are many beautiful castles included in this year's Piedmont museum pass (including the theater in Aosta) or you can go to the famous Pré Saint Didier spa or a romantic escape on the cable car of the Mont Blanc where I want to go soon.

Ciao a tutti, oggi tappa ad Aosta, il capoluogo della Valle d'Aosta, una città molto carina, monumentale e storica con i suoi resti romani: dall'arco di Augusto al teatro romano. Il perfetto luogo per una gita da un giorno o anche meno. Una passeggiata tra le vie, l'ingresso nelle chiese e nei siti storici e se andate in questo periodo natalizio potrete godere anche dello spirito natalizio, vedere i mercatini di natale nel teatro romano e di conseguenza entrare anche gratis (di solito l'ingresso costa 7 €, biglietto valido non solo per il teatro, più info sul sito) e magari vedere il tutto ricoperto di neve com'è capitato a me, tutto ancora più bello, non trovate? I posti principali da vedere non sono molti: l'arco di Augusto, il teatro romano, la porta pretoria, la collegiata di Sant'Orso, la piazza principale e se volete anche qualche museo, tutte cose che si riescono a vedere velocemente e anche tutto vicino.
Inoltre se trascorrete alcuni giorni in Valle d'Aosta ci sono tanti bei castelli compresi da quest'anno nell'Abbonamento Musei del Piemonte (compreso il teatro ad Aosta) o potete andare alle famose terme di Pré Saint Didier o una fuga romantica sulla funivia del Monte Bianco a cui spero presto di andare.
