Hi everyone, today I tell to you about Budapest, a beautiful city, I really liked it, I did not expect it was so fascinated, one of the most beautiful European cities I've seen, I really recommend it.
Let's begin this journey with the "symbol" of Budapest, the majestic Chain bridge that connects the two great areas that define the city: Buda and Pest, from this union the name of the city. By staying on the Pest side and taking a stroll along the river Danube you will find the memorial for the Jews: Shoes on the Danube Bank until you reach the famous and magnificent Parliament, beautiful on every side, as well as internally. The Parliament can be visited every day with a guided tour available in several languages, but you need to book online, otherwise it is possible that you will not find any more seats there. Do not miss it.

Ciao a tutti, oggi vi parlo di Budapest, una bellissima città, mi è piaciuta tantissimo, non me la aspettavo così, sono rimasta davvero sorpresa, affascinata, una delle più belle città europee tra quelle che ho visto, ve la consiglio veramente.

Iniziamo questo viaggio con il "simbolo" di Budapest il maestoso Ponte delle catene, che collega le due grandi zone che definiscono la città: Buda e Pest dalla cui unione deriva il nome. Rimanendo sul lato di Pest e facendo una passeggiata accanto al fiume Danubio potrete imbattervi nel memoriale per gli ebrei: Scarpe sulle rive del Danubio fino ad arrivare al famoso e magnifico Parlamento, bellissimo da ogni lato, così come internamente. Il parlamento è visitabile ogni giorno con visita guidata disponibile in parecchie lingue, ma da prenotare precedentemente online, altrimenti è possibile che arrivati lì non troverete più posto. Non perdetevelo.

Moving on the other side of the river and the bridge, in Buda, you can admire the Fishermen's Bastion on one side, accessible for free in the evening, but even without buy the ticket you can still admire an incredible view from above, beside the incredible and unique St Matthias Church. On the other hand you will find the Buda Castle, the seat of the Hungarian National Gallery, which I think is worth it because the view of the city from the dome it's incredible. Both reachable by means of transport, more precisely the bus 16, super convenient and included in the subscription of the means of transport (the weekly ticket costs 4950 HUF about 16,5 euros depending on the exchange rate) which I recommend doing to simplify the shifts, but if you want, you can walk up the hill or if you prefer at the end of the chain bridge you can take the funicular to get directly to the castle, but in this case it is not included in the means of transport.

For the museums, there is the Budapest Card, which allows you to use the means of transport and gives you several discounts and some free admission to museums, but in relation to the subscription of the only means the cost is much higher, so you should consider which museums you really want to visit or if you are interested in guided tours included in the card, I personally did not doing it.

Spostandosi sull'altro lato del fiume e quindi del ponte, a Buda, potrete ammirare da un lato il Bastione dei Pescatori, accessibile gratuitamente alla sera, ma anche senza salirci sopra potete comunque ammirare una vista incredibile dall'alto, accanto alla incredibile e particolare Chiesa di San Mattia. Dall'altro lato invece troverete il Castello di Buda sede di ubicazione della galleria nazionale ungherese, che secondo me vale la pena visitare semplicemente per poter accedere alla cupola e vedere da un'altra posizione la città dall'alto. Entrambi raggiungibili tramite mezzi, più precisamente l'autobus 16, super comodo e compreso nell'abbonamento dei mezzi di trasporto (il biglietto settimanale costa 4950 fiorini circa 16,5 euro a seconda del cambio) che vi consiglio di fare per semplificare gli spostamenti, ma se volete potete benissimo farvi a piedi la salita o se preferite alla fine del ponte delle catene potete prendere la funicolare per arrivare direttamente al castello, ma in questo caso non è inclusa nei mezzi di trasporto.

Per i musei invece esiste la Budapest Card, che permette di usare i mezzi di trasporto e vi concede diversi sconti e qualche entrata gratis ai musei, ma in rapporto all'abbonamento dei soli mezzi il costo è molto superiore, quindi vi conviene valutare quali musei volete veramente visitare o se vi interessano i tour guidati compresi nella card, io personalmente non l'ho fatta.

Not far from there, but slightly higher, ypu can find the Citadel, on top of the mountain, from which you can admire the city from above and you can recognize it from the Statue of Liberty, unfortunately only reachable by foot or by car / taxi, a climb rather challenging even more in a sunny day, but in a cute park, perfect for children.

At the base of the mountain you can find the Church in the rock and next the famous Gellert Baths, one of the most famous thermal waters in Budapest. From there you can walk to the wonderful Liberty Bridge and reach the famous Central Market and maybe make lunch, which is architecturally impressive.

Non lontano da lì, ma leggermente più in alto, trovate la Cittadella, sulla cima della montagna, dalla quale potete ammirare la città dall'alto e che potete riconoscere dalla Statua della Libertà, sfortunatamente è solo raggiungibile a piedi o tramite macchina/taxi, una salita piuttosto impegnativa ancor di più in una giornata di pieno sole, ma in un parco carino, perfetto per i bambini.

Alla base della montagna potete trovare la Chiesa nella roccia e li accanto i famosi Bagni Gellert, una delle più famose acque termali di Budapest. Da lì potete percorre a piedi il meraviglioso ponte della libertà e raggiungere il famoso Mercato Centrale e magari fare pranzo, davvero suggestivo dal punto di vista architettonico.

Another very important area of Budapest, more precisely on the Pest side is the Vàrosliget Park, a huge park to see by foot or even better by bike, full of special places, first of all the Heroes Square, one of the most important squares, which is like a entrance to the park, alongside two enormous building sites of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Mucharnok Art Gallery.
Inside the park there is another famous thermal baths, perhaps the most famous and well-known: Széchenyi Baths, a must-see for all tourists, which has very economical prices, also recommended only from an architectural point of view.
Always inside the park you can come across Vajdahunyad Castle that you can visit, but I didn't see it internally so I don't know if it's worth it, but definitely worth it externally. And if you are a lover of animals or have children, you can also jump to the Zoo, right next to the termal baths.

Un'altra area molto importante di Budapest, più precisamente dalla parte di Pest è il Parco Vàrosliget, un enorme parco percorribile a piedi o ancora meglio in bici, ricca di luoghi particolari, primo tra tutti la Piazza degli eroi, una delle piazze più importanti e conosciute, che fa un pò da ingresso al parco, affiancata da due enormi edifici sedi del Museo di belle arti e della Galleria d'arte Mucsarnok.

All'interno del parco un altra sede di bagni termali, forse la più famosa, grande e conosciuta: i Bagni Széchenyi, tappa imperdibile per tutti i turisti, con prezzi anche molto economici, consigliati anche solo dal punto di vista architettonico.

Sempre all'interno del parco potrete imbattervi nel Castello di Vajdahunyad che è possibile visitare, ma non avendolo visto internamente non saprei dirvi se ne vale la pena, da fuori sicuramente si. E se siete amanti degli animali o avete dei bambini potete fare un salto anche allo Zoo, proprio accanto ai bagni termali.

Instead one of the main streets in the center is the Viale Andràssy ùt where you can find the majestic Opera House, which can be visited every day only for certain hours with guided tours, more precisely the visits in english are at 14,15 and 16. A very interesting visit where you can only take photos if you pay a small amount (500 HUF) and if you want something extra (paying 690 HUF) you can admire and listen a mini concert at the end of the tour.

Invece in centro una delle vie principali è il Viale Andràssy ùt sulla quale si trova il maestoso Teatro dell’opera, visitabile ogni giorno solo a determinate ore tramite visite guidate, più precisamente le visite in italiano sono alle 15 e alle 16. Una visita molto interessante nella quale potete fare foto solo se pagate una piccola cifra (500 fiorini) e se volete qualcosina in più (sempre pagando) potete ammirare ed ascoltare un mini concerto alla fine del tour.

Not far from the theater there is the St. Stephen's Basilica, the church is accessible for free, while paying you can access to the dome and see a beautiful view from above.

Let us continue with the majestic Synagogue, accessible through a guided tour in several languages to immerse you even more in the sacred atmosphere. Obviously it is not open to the public on Saturdays because is a sacred day for Jews and being a religious site if you plan to visit it prepare yourself first to dress up yourself properly, otherwise do not worry because they will give you things to cover you or you can buy a kind of waterproof. So no shorts like I did that I found myself having to tie the cover shoulders around my legs and no shoulders visible, it's ok short sleeves, and I recommend taking respect.

Procediamo con la maestosa Sinagoga, accessibile tramite visita guidata in diverse lingue per immergersi ancora di più nell'atmosfera sacra. Ovviamente non è aperta al pubblico il sabato essendo il giorno sacro per gli ebrei ed essendo un luogo religioso è richiesto un po' di contegno perciò se pensate di visitarla preparatevi prima a vestirvi in modo adeguato, altrimenti non preoccupatevi perché vi daranno delle cose per coprirvi o potete comprare lí una specie di impermeabile. Perciò niente pantaloncini corti come ho fatto io che mi sono ritrovata a dovermi legare il coprispalle intorno alle gambe e spalle visibili, vanno bene le maniche corte, e mi raccomando di portare rispetto.

Another stop is a nice walk or a bike ride on the huge Margherita Island. Do not miss the opportunity, rent bikes and enjoy the atmosphere.

To rent bicycles, I recommend Yellow Zebra, a bike shop that rent bike and other things, behind the Opera House, open daily from 9am to 8.30pm and with really cheap prices. If you keep it all day it costs only 3000 HUF (10 euros depending on the exchange rate) + 10000 HUF for the deposit that will return to you and if you are a group of at least 5 people you will get a 15% discount, the only negative is that they only accept cash so keep a bit of money with you. As mentioned above I recommend using the bike both on the island and in the park Vàrosliget, two perfect places to ride in peace.

Altra tappa da fare per rilassarvi un pò è una bella passeggiata o nel mio caso giro in bici sull'enorme Isola Margherita. Non perdete l'occasione, affittate le bici e godetevi l'atmosfera.

Per affittare le bici vi consiglio Yellow Zebra, un negozio che affitta sia le bici che altro e si trova dietro il Teatro dell'Opera, aperto tutti i giorni dalle 9 alle 20,30 e con prezzi davvero economici, se la tenete tutto il giorno vi viene a costare solo 3000 fiorini (10 euro a seconda del cambio) + 10000 di cauzione che vi restituiranno e se siete un gruppo di almeno 5 persone avrete uno sconto del 15%, l'unica cosa negativa è che accettano solo contanti quindi tenetevi da parte un pò di soldi, più che altro per la cauzione. Come già accennato vi consiglio di usare la bici sia sull'isola che nel parco Vàrosliget, due luoghi perfetti per pedalare in tranquillità.
