Hello how are you? After New York, now stop in Washington DC. Obviously you can not make comparisons, they are two very different cities, but after so much chaos, traffic, finally a bit of silence, relax. It 's very nice, but I imagined more things to see, you can see everything in two days, especially because everything is very close, or so it seems. Virtually everything is built around a long lawn, but from side to side there are about 2.5 miles and eventually going up and down is tiring. On the one hand there is the Capitol, while on the other the monument dedicated to Lincoln with his statue and a long pool that leads to the monument dedicated to World War II.
Ciao come state? Dopo New York, oggi tappa a Washington DC. Ovviamente non si possono fare paragoni, sono due città molto diverse, ma dopo tanto caos, traffico, finalmente un pò di silenzio, relax. E' molto bella, però per certi versi me la immaginavo diversa, con più cose da vedere, alla fine in due giorni vedi tutto, sopratutto perchè tutto è molto vicino o così sembra. Praticamente tutto si sviluppa attorno a un lungo prato, ma da una parte all'altra ci sono circa 3 chilometri e alla fine andando su e giù è stancante. Da una parte si trova il Campidoglio, mentre dall'altra il monumento dedicato a Lincoln con la sua statua e una lunga vasca che porta al monumento dedicato alla seconda guerra mondiale.

Exactly halfway between the two you can see The Monument, a tall tower where you can go up and see Washington from above. From that point you can also admire the White House on one side and the Jefferson Memorial on the other
Esattamente a metà tra i due potete ammirare The Monument, un'alta torre su cui potete salire e vedere Washington dall'alto. Da quel punto potete anche ammirare la Casa Bianca da un lato e il Jefferson Memorial dall'altro.

While the long grass grow the museums of the Smithsonian, the largest museum in the world, which are all free =). In all there are 19 museums that are developed in various areas, but the main office is in Washington. Seat of the film Night at the Museum 2.
Mentre lungo il prato si sviluppano i musei dello Smithsonian, il più grande museo al mondo, che sono tutti gratuiti =). In tutto ci sono 19 musei che si sviluppano in vari territori, ma la sede principale è a Washington. Sede del film Una notte al museo 2.

Near the Capitol, you can visit the Library of Congress, very nice especially for the reading room (which you can see in the movie National Treasure).
Vicino al Campidoglio potete visitare la Biblioteca del Congresso, molto bella soprattutto per la sala di lettura (che si vede nel film Il mistero dei Templari).

Finally, near the Lincoln Memorial, across the bridge and the Potomac River, you can see the Arlington Cemetery where they are buried some presidents of the United States of America.
Infine vicino al Lincoln Memorial, attraversando il ponte e il fiume Potomac, potete ammirare il cimitero di Arlington dove sono seppelliti alcuni presidenti degli Stati Uniti d'America.
